A BILL FOR AN ACT
relating to professional and vocational licensing.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Chapter 436B, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended by adding a new section to be appropriately designated and to read as follows:
"§436B- Licensure; classes; availability. Classes that are required as a condition of licensure by a licensing authority and offered by a trade union in the State shall be made available to all licensees at the same cost, regardless of whether the licensee is a member of the trade union offering the required licensure classes; provided that this section shall only apply if equivalent public classes are not available."
SECTION 2. New statutory material is underscored.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
