A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

 

relating to family leave.

 

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

 


     SECTION 1.  The auditor shall conduct an audit to determine the existence of potential patterns of abuse in the use of state and federal family leave benefits by adult corrections officers of the department of public safety.

     The auditor shall submit a report of the auditor's findings and recommendations, including any proposed legislation, to the legislature not later than twenty days prior to the convening of the regular session of 2016.

     SECTION 2.  This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2015.
