A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

 

relating to capital improvement projects for the benefit of THE nineteenth SENATORIAL DISTRICT.

 

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

 


     SECTION 1.  The director of finance is authorized to issue general obligation bonds in the sum of $98,225,000 or so much thereof as may be necessary, and the same sum or so much thereof as may be necessary is appropriated for fiscal year 2013-2014 for the purpose of capital improvement projects for the nineteenth senatorial district, as follows:

1.   James Campbell High School, Oahu

     A.   Design, construction, and equipment for air conditioning for entire school

          Design                        $600,000

          Construction               $10,400,000

          Equipment                   $1,000,000

          Total funding                             $12,000,000

2.   Ewa Elementary School, Oahu

     A.   Design and construction of playground equipment

          Plans                          $10,000

          Construction                   $50,000

     B.   Plans, design, and construction for a parking lot

          Plans                          $50,000

          Design                         $50,000

          Construction                $1,000,000

3.   Ewa Beach Elementary School, Oahu

     A.   Additional funding for air conditioning and electrical upgrade of school

9.   Fort Weaver Road, Oahu

     A.   Plans, design, and construction for drainage at the south end of Ewa Beach Road

     A.   Add a third lane on Fort Weaver Road from the cross section of Geiger Road to Keoneula Parkway going both ways

          Total funding                             $33,000,000

     SECTION 2.  The appropriations made for the capital improvement projects authorized by this Act shall not lapse at the end of the fiscal year for which the appropriations are made; provided that all moneys from the appropriations that are unencumbered as of June 30, 2016, shall lapse as of that date.

     SECTION 3.  The sums appropriated for the respective capital improvement projects set forth in section 1 shall be expended by the appropriate expending agency for the purposes of this Act.


     SECTION 4.  This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2013.
