TWENTY-EIGHTH LEGISLATURE, 2015
STATE OF HAWAII

SENATE RESOLUTION

 

 

REGARDING COMPLETION OF THE WORK OF THE TWENTY-EIGHTH LEGISLATURE, REGULAR SESSION OF 2015, SUBSEQUENT TO THE ADJOURNMENT THEREOF.

 

 

     BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the Twenty-eighth Legislature of the State of Hawaii, Regular Session of 2015, that the President is hereby authorized and empowered as the President deems necessary to:

 

     (1)  Expend such sum or sums appropriated to the Twenty‑eighth Legislature, Regular Session of 2015, for legislative-related expenses or other expenses;

 

     (2)  Contract, hire, or employ such personnel and assistance to meet the work of the Senate prior to the next Regular Session and to determine the period of employment for each;

 

     (3)  Approve the Journal of the Senate of any legislative day being compiled as of the 60th legislative day;

 

     (4)  Carry out any duties or business related to the convening of any authorized committee; and

 

     (5)  Perform such other duties, all for the purposes of completing the work of the Twenty-eighth Legislature, Regular Session of 2015, subsequent to the adjournment thereof, including the carrying out of any official legislative business in the interim between the 2015 and 2016 Regular Sessions, up to and including January 20, 2016; and

 

     BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Vice President is hereby authorized and empowered to carry out the responsibilities enumerated under Rule 4 of the Rules of the Senate for the Twenty-eighth Legislature.
