amended
by
adding
the
following
new
paragraph:

A
private
investigator
or
a
private

security
officer
who
possesses
both
a
valid
license
pursuant
to

chapter
80A
and
a
professional
permit
to
carry
weapons
pursuant

to
section
724.6,
while
engaged
in
the
performance
of
official

duties.

EXPLANATION

This
bill
relates
to
the
carrying
of
weapons
on
school

grounds
by
licensed
private
investigators
and
licensed
private
10
security
officers.

The
bill
authorizes
a
private
investigator
or
a
private
12
security
officer
who
possesses
both
a
valid
license
pursuant
13
to
Code
chapter
80A
and
a
professional
permit
to
carry
14
weapons
pursuant
to
Code
section
724.6,
while
engaged
in
the
15
performance
of
official
duties,
to
carry
a
firearm
on
school
16
grounds
pursuant
to
Code
section
724.4B.
