Iowa
Small
Business
Development

Centers
have
provided
expert
and
confidential

business
counseling
services
and
training
workshops
to

entrepreneurs
in
all
99
counties;
and

WHEREAS,
these
small
business
development
centers
8
located
throughout
the
state
provide
a
wide
variety
9
of
services
to
foster
the
growth
of
Iowa
businesses,
10
including
one-to-one
professional
business
counseling,
11
learning
opportunities,
workshops,
courses,
and
12
classes,
and
a
variety
of
other
services;
and
13
WHEREAS,
Melissa
Fabian
of
Mason
City,
Iowa,
the
14
chief
executive
officer
and
owner
of
Simply
Nourished
15
Market
&
Mercantile,
is
the
2024
Deb
Dalziel
Women
16
Entrepreneur
Achievement
Award
winner,
an
award
which
17
honors
an
Iowa
woman
entrepreneur
who
has
significantly
18
changed
or
improved
her
life
and
the
lives
of
19
others;
and
20
WHEREAS,
Dustin
Rhoades
of
Sioux
City,
Iowa,
the
21
chief
executive
officer
and
owner
of
Ability
Tech,
22
has
received
the
2024
Neal
Smith
Entrepreneur
of
the
23
Year
Award,
an
award
in
honor
of
the
long-serving
24
Iowa
congressman,
given
to
an
Iowa
entrepreneur
who
25
has
been
in
business
a
minimum
of
three
years
and
has
26
been
significantly
assisted
by
Iowa
Small
Business

Development
Centers;
