| 1 | AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 5293 | ||||||
| 2 | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 5293 on page 1, by | ||||||
| 3 | replacing lines 10 through 15 with the following: | ||||||
| 4 | ""Battery energy storage solution facility" or "BESS" | ||||||
| 5 | means a facility that stores and distributes energy in the | ||||||
| 6 | form of electricity and that stores electricity using battery | ||||||
| 7 | devices and other means. "Battery energy storage solution" or | ||||||
| 8 | "BESS" includes any permanent structures associated with the | ||||||
| 9 | battery energy storage facility and all associated | ||||||
| 10 | transmission lines, substations, and other equipment related | ||||||
| 11 | to the storage and transmission of electric power."; and
| ||||||
| 12 | on page 2, line 21, replace "week." with "week; and"; and
| ||||||
| 13 | on page 2, immediately below line 21, by inserting the | ||||||
| 14 | following: | ||||||
| 15 | "(3) the owner or operator of the battery storage site | ||||||
| 16 | is an automotive parts recycler as defined in Section | ||||||
