| 1 | AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 2197

| 2 | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 2197 on page 2, | ||||||
| 3 | line 6, by inserting after "system" the following: | ||||||
| 4 | "that is specifically designated to detain or incarcerate | ||||||
| 5 | youth. "County-operated juvenile detention center" does not | ||||||
| 6 | include police or other temporary law enforcement holding | ||||||
| 7 | locations"; and
| ||||||
| 8 | on page 12, by inserting immediately below line 20 the | ||||||
| 9 | following:
| ||||||
| 10 | "Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect on | ||||||
| 11 | January 1, 2025.".
