1 | AN ACT concerning courts.

2 | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, | |||||||||||||||||||
3 | represented in the General Assembly:

4 | Section 5. The Attorney Act is amended by changing Section | |||||||||||||||||||
5 | 4 as follows:

6 | (705 ILCS 205/4) (from Ch. 13, par. 4)

7 | Sec. 4.
Every person admitted to practice as an attorney | |||||||||||||||||||
8 | and
and counsellor at
law shall, before his name is entered | |||||||||||||||||||
9 | upon the roll to be kept as
hereinafter provided, take and | |||||||||||||||||||
10 | subscribe an oath, substantially in the
following form: | |||||||||||||||||||
11 | I do solemnly swear (or affirm, as the case may be), that I | |||||||||||||||||||
12 | will support
the constitution of the United States and the | |||||||||||||||||||
13 | constitution of the state of
Illinois, and that I will | |||||||||||||||||||
14 | faithfully discharge the duties of the office of
attorney and | |||||||||||||||||||
15 | counselor at law to the best of my ability.
