1 AN ACT concerning gaming.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Bingo License and Tax Act is amended by
5changing Section 1 as follows:
6 (230 ILCS 25/1) (from Ch. 120, par. 1101)
7 Sec. 1. The The Department of Revenue shall, upon
8application therefor on forms prescribed by the Department,
9and upon the payment of a nonrefundable annual fee of $200, and
10upon a determination by the Department that the applicant
11meets all of the qualifications specified in this Act, issue a
12bingo license for the conducting of bingo to any of the
13following: any bona fide religious, charitable, labor,
14fraternal, youth athletic, senior citizen, educational or
15veterans' organization organized in Illinois which operates
16without profit to its members, which has been in existence in
17Illinois continuously for a period of 5 years immediately
18before making application for a license and which has had
19during that entire 5 year period a bona fide membership
20engaged in carrying out its objects. However, the 5 year
21requirement shall be reduced to 2 years, as applied to a local
22organization which is affiliated with and chartered by a
23national organization which meets the 5 year requirement.

1 Each license shall be in effect for one year from its date
2of issuance unless extended, suspended, or revoked by
3Department action before that date. The Department may provide
4by rule for an extension of any bingo license issued under this
5Act. Any extension provided shall not exceed one year. A
6licensee may hold only one license to conduct bingo and that
7license is valid for only one location. The Department may
8authorize by rule the filing by electronic means of any
9application, license, permit, return, or registration required
10under this Act. All taxes and fees imposed by this Act, unless
11otherwise specified, shall be paid into the General Revenue
12Fund of the State Treasury.
