SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
70 ILCS 210/25.4.1 new

Amends the Metropolitan Pier and Exposition Authority Act. Requires that the Metropolitan Pier and Exposition Authority use Illinois motor coach operators when entering into a contract or agreement for motor coach services for all trade shows at McCormick Place and Navy Pier. Effective immediately.

1 AN ACT concerning local government.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Metropolitan Pier and Exposition Authority
5Act is amended by adding Section 25.4.1 as follows:
6 (70 ILCS 210/25.4.1 new)
7 Sec. 25.4.1. Contracts for motor coach services. Whenever
8possible, the Authority shall use Illinois motor coach
9operators at competitive rates when entering into a contract or
10agreement for motor coach services for all trade shows at
11McCormick Place and Navy Pier.
12 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
13becoming law.
