1 AN ACT concerning civil law.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Code of Civil Procedure is amended by
5changing Section 10-102 as follows:
6 (735 ILCS 5/10-102) (from Ch. 110, par. 10-102)
7 Sec. 10-102. Who may file. Every person imprisoned or
8otherwise restrained of his or her liberty, except as herein
9otherwise provided, may apply for habeas corpus in the the
10manner provided in Article X of this Act, to obtain relief from
11such imprisonment or restraint, if it prove to be unlawful.
