Bill Title: Amends the Department of Revenue Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois. Provides that the Department of Revenue shall not require a taxpayer, whether an individual, not-for-profit, or other business entity, to collect and furnish to the Department individual tax identification information from vendors that participate in an event hosted or sponsored by the taxpayer. Effective immediately.

2 | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

4 | Section 5. The Department of Revenue Law of the

5 | Administrative Code of Illinois is amended by adding Section | |||||||||||||||||||
6 | 2505-805 as follows:

7 | (20 ILCS 2505/2505-805 new) | |||||||||||||||||||
8 | Sec. 2505-805. Collection of individualized tax | |||||||||||||||||||
9 | identification data. The Department shall not require a | |||||||||||||||||||
10 | taxpayer, whether an individual, not-for-profit, or other | |||||||||||||||||||
11 | business entity, to collect and furnish to the Department | |||||||||||||||||||
