210 ILCS 85/6.28 new

Amends the Hospital Licensing Act. 1 AN ACT concerning health.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Hospital Licensing Act is amended by adding
5Section 6.28 as follows:
6 (210 ILCS 85/6.28 new)
7 Sec. 6.28. Posting charity care policy, financial
8counselor. A hospital that receives a property tax exemption
9under Section 15-86 of the Property Tax Code must post the
10hospital's charity care policy and the contact information of a
11financial counselor in a reasonably viewable area in the
12hospital's emergency room.
