HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The citizens of Illinois are continually taxed
3more and more each year; and
4 WHEREAS, These taxes make Illinois inhospitable to both
5citizens and businesses alike; and
6 WHEREAS, The citizens of Illinois are already faced with
7some of the highest taxes in the nation; and
8 WHEREAS, Traveling to work or school is a necessity for
9many citizens; and
10 WHEREAS, Taxing per miles driven will discourage tourism
11and spending in Illinois; and
12 WHEREAS, The citizens of Illinois are already faced with
13many aspects of their lives being taxed at ever-increasing
14rates; therefore, be it
15 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
16HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
17we are opposed to any mileage tax in 2019 and beyond; and be it
