| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives wish to congratulate Dr. Jeff Dosier on the | ||||||
| 4 | occasion of his retirement as Superintendent of Belleville | ||||||
| 5 | Township High School District 201; and
| ||||||
| 6 | WHEREAS, Dr. Dosier began his career in Belleville District | ||||||
| 7 | 118 in 1988 and held many positions; he taught at Jefferson | ||||||
| 8 | Elementary School and West Junior High School; he served as | ||||||
| 9 | Dean of Students at Central and West Junior High Schools, | ||||||
| 10 | Principal of Henry Raab and Washington Schools, and Principal | ||||||
| 11 | and Director of Title I and Prekindergarten programs at | ||||||
| 12 | Franklin School; in 2004, he was appointed Assistant | ||||||
| 13 | Superintendent for Curriculum; he then served as Assistant | ||||||
| 14 | Superintendent for Finance; in 2007, he transferred to District | ||||||
| 15 | 201, where he was appointed Assistant Superintendent for | ||||||
| 16 | Finance and Operations; in 2011, he was named Superintendent of | ||||||
| 17 | Belleville Township High School District 201; and
| ||||||
| 18 | WHEREAS, Dr. Dosier is a member of many associations, | ||||||
| 19 | including the Illinois Association of School Business | ||||||
| 20 | Officials, the Illinois Association of Title I Directors, the | ||||||
| 21 | Illinois Principals' Association, and the Illinois Association | ||||||
| 22 | of School Administrators; and

| 1 | WHEREAS, Dr. Dosier received a Bachelor of Science in | ||||||
| 2 | Education from McKendree College, now McKendree University, in | ||||||
| 3 | 1987; he earned a Master of Science in Education Administration | ||||||
| 4 | from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville in 1991; he | ||||||
| 5 | received a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership from | ||||||
| 6 | St. Louis University in 2007; and
| ||||||
| 7 | WHEREAS, Dr. Dosier has a Superintendent Endorsement; his | ||||||
| 8 | other areas of certification include General Administrative | ||||||
| 9 | K-12 and Secondary Education 6-12; he has approval as a | ||||||
| 10 | Learning Disabilities and Learning Behavior Specialist I; and
| ||||||
| 11 | WHEREAS, Dr. Dosier leads by example in both his | ||||||
| 12 | professional life and his personal life; he and his wife are | ||||||
| 13 | parents to three children; every day, he reinforces the | ||||||
| 14 | importance of good character traits, communication, and strong | ||||||
| 15 | values; he enjoys cooking, barbecuing, riding his tractor, | ||||||
| 16 | working on projects at home, and traveling; during retirement, | ||||||
| 17 | he looks forward to taking many road trips with his wife; | ||||||
| 18 | therefore, be it

| 19 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE | ||||||
| 20 | HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | ||||||
| 21 | we congratulate Dr. Jeff Dosier on the occasion of his | ||||||
| 22 | retirement as Superintendent of Belleville Township High | ||||||
| 23 | School District 201 and wish him success in his future | ||||||
