| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Sharon | ||||||
| 4 | Shavaughn Marsh; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Sharon Marsh was born to Olivia Consuela and | ||||||
| 6 | Vaughn Marsh in Chicago on August 4, 1964; she attended | ||||||
| 7 | Wadsworth Elementary School and Hyde Park Academy; she married | ||||||
| 8 | Daryl A. Monson in January 1998, and they later divorced in | ||||||
| 9 | 2001; and
| ||||||
| 10 | WHEREAS, Sharon Marsh worked in retail in downtown Chicago | ||||||
| 11 | and served Cook County, the City of Chicago, the Cook County | ||||||
| 12 | Sheriff's Office, the 8th Ward of Chicago, and the Chicago | ||||||
| 13 | City Council as a receptionist; and
| ||||||
| 14 | WHEREAS, Sharon Marsh attended Trinity United Church of | ||||||
| 15 | Christ, where she was baptized on April 1, 2001; she | ||||||
| 16 | volunteered for the 8th Ward of Chicago and was a member of the | ||||||
| 17 | 8th Ward Regular Democratic Organization Women's Auxiliary; | ||||||
| 18 | she was a previous member of the Young Democrats; and
| ||||||
| 19 | WHEREAS, Sharon Marsh was funny, kind, witty, and loyal, | ||||||
| 20 | and she touched many lives with her laid-back and sweet | ||||||
| 21 | personality; and

| 1 | WHEREAS, Sharon Marsh was preceded in death by her mother | ||||||
| 2 | and her brother, Ronald Burkhalte; and
| ||||||
| 3 | WHEREAS, Sharon Marsh is survived by her daughters, | ||||||
| 4 | Shavaughn Patrice and Darnisha Ashley; her granddaughters, | ||||||
| 5 | Jordan and London; her grandson, Malcolm; her sisters, Diane, | ||||||
| 6 | Pamela, Tracey, and Denean; her aunt and uncle; and a host of | ||||||
| 7 | cousins, nieces, nephews, other family members, close friends, | ||||||
| 8 | and acquaintances; therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 9 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE | ||||||
| 10 | HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | ||||||
| 11 | we mourn the passing of Sharon Shavaughn Marsh and extend our | ||||||
| 12 | sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew | ||||||
| 13 | and loved her; and be it further
