| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives are pleased to congratulate Apostle William | ||||||
| 4 | McCoy, D.D., Ph.D., founder, Overseer, and CEO of Am I My | ||||||
| 5 | Brothers Keeper Outreach Church, Brothers Keeper's Community | ||||||
| 6 | Resource Center, and the International Pentecostal Assembly | ||||||
| 7 | Ecumenical, on his 26th anniversary; and
| ||||||
| 8 | WHEREAS, He began his ministry in 1984 on the streets of | ||||||
| 9 | Harvey, Robbins, and Chicago with a message of deliverance from | ||||||
| 10 | substance addictions and domestic abuse; and
| ||||||
| 11 | WHEREAS, During this time, he began taking people into his | ||||||
| 12 | home who hungered for deliverance from their addictions; | ||||||
| 13 | together with his wife, Dr. Rose McCoy, he provided support and | ||||||
| 14 | spiritual nurturing needed to restructure the lives of broken | ||||||
| 15 | individuals, transitioning them back into the community and | ||||||
| 16 | returning them to their families as saved, delivered, | ||||||
| 17 | responsible, and productive people; and
| ||||||
| 18 | WHEREAS, Am I My Brothers Keeper Outreach Center is a grass | ||||||
| 19 | roots ministry exhibiting a strong emphasis on teaching and | ||||||
| 20 | deliverance in its outreach activities in the following areas: | ||||||
| 21 | jail ministry, parole chaplaincy training, street ministry, | ||||||
| 22 | and ministerial training; and
| ||||||

| 1 | WHEREAS, The International Pentecostal Assembly | ||||||
| 2 | Ecumenical, the networking vehicle of Am I My Brothers Keeper, | ||||||
| 3 | is made up of a conglomerate of churches of various | ||||||
| 4 | denominations and faith-based organization that have come | ||||||
| 5 | together as one body for the purpose of Kingdom building | ||||||
| 6 | through the sharing of ideas, resources, information, and | ||||||
| 7 | services to meet the spiritual, physical, and social needs of | ||||||
| 8 | all humanity; therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 9 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | ||||||
| 10 | NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | ||||||
| 11 | we congratulate Apostle William McCoy on this anniversary | ||||||
| 12 | occasion and wish him continued success in his future | ||||||
| 13 | endeavors; and be it further
| ||||||
| 14 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 15 | presented to Apostle William McCoy as a symbol of our respect | ||||||
| 16 | and esteem.
