| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives wish to congratulate Frances Dreyer on the | ||||||
| 4 | occasion of her 100th birthday on January 11, 2020; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Frances Dreyer began her teaching career in a | ||||||
| 6 | one-room school house in Okawville; she then taught at | ||||||
| 7 | Okawville High School for several years; as one of the few | ||||||
| 8 | people in Okawville who owned a car, she often gave some of her | ||||||
| 9 | students rides to school; and
| ||||||
| 10 | WHEREAS, Frances Dreyer then moved to Steeleville where at | ||||||
| 11 | Steeleville High School she worked as an English teacher, | ||||||
| 12 | guidance counselor, and principal during her decades long | ||||||
| 13 | educational career; and
| ||||||
| 14 | WHEREAS, For more than 65 years, Frances Dreyer lived in | ||||||
| 15 | the same house in Steeleville; she shared this house with her | ||||||
| 16 | husband, Frederick Dreyer, until his death in 2003; therefore, | ||||||
| 17 | be it

| 18 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE | ||||||
| 19 | HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | ||||||
| 20 | we congratulate Frances Dreyer on her 100th birthday on January | ||||||
