2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | ||||||
3 | to learn of the death of Gary G. Bayles of Monmouth, who passed | ||||||
4 | away on January 26, 2023; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Gary Bayles was born to Jerry and Ruth (Olander) | ||||||
6 | Bayles in Rushville on November 15, 1941; he graduated from | ||||||
7 | Monmouth High School in 1959;
he served as an intercept | ||||||
8 | operator in the U.S. Air Force in Germany for four years;
he | ||||||
9 | married Shirley Ryner in Monmouth on April 22, 1961; and
| ||||||
10 | WHEREAS, Gary Bayles worked as a sales and finance manager | ||||||
11 | at several auto dealerships around the State; and
| ||||||
12 | WHEREAS, Gary Bayles loved traveling and was an avid | ||||||
13 | Chicago Bears, St. Louis Cardinals, and Warren Warriors fan; | ||||||
14 | he will be remembered as a man of faith who loved spending time | ||||||
15 | with his family, especially his grandchildren; and
| ||||||
16 | WHEREAS, Gary Bayles was preceded in death by his parents; | ||||||
17 | his son, David Bayles; his brothers, Ron and Lyle Bayles; and | ||||||
18 | his parents-in-law, Ida and Carroll Ryner; and
| ||||||
19 | WHEREAS, Gary Bayles is survived by his wife, Shirley | ||||||
20 | Bayles; his children, Tracey (Bayles) Damewood and Dennis |

1 | Bayles; his grandchildren, Joshua (Melissa) Bayles, Jacob | ||||||
2 | Bayles, Danielle Bayles, Mandy (Ross) Hall, and Jenna | ||||||

4 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL | ||||||
5 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of

7 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved
