2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Byron Howard Biehn, who passed away on | ||||||
4 | May 3, 2019; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Byron Biehn was born in Paris Township, Wisconsin | ||||||
6 | to Byron Eugene and Kathleen (Rosmann) Biehn on July 23, 1965; | ||||||
7 | he graduated from St. John the Baptist Catholic Grade School in | ||||||
8 | 1979 and Central High School in 1983; he married Dian Daniels | ||||||
9 | at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Paris, Wisconsin on | ||||||
10 | September 12, 1987; and
| ||||||
11 | WHEREAS, Byron Biehn worked at Mazer/PPG/BASF and was the | ||||||
12 | proprietor of B&D Mowing; in 2010, he joined AB Specialty | ||||||
13 | Silicones in Waukegan as one of the first 11 employees and was | ||||||
14 | instrumental in its growth; he eventually became the second | ||||||
15 | shift supervisor; and

16 | WHEREAS, Byron Biehn was a member of St. John the Baptist | ||||||
17 | Catholic Church; he was the track coach for his former grade | ||||||
18 | school, a former school board member, and a past president of | ||||||
19 | Providence Catholic School; he was also an active 3rd degree | ||||||
20 | member of the Knights of Columbus Union Grove Council #4106, | ||||||
21 | where he served as a past Grand Knight, Trustee, and Treasurer; | ||||||
22 | he enjoyed spending time with his family, being outside, and |

1 | traveling; he was an avid gardener and golfer; he was an | ||||||
2 | enthusiastic fan of Wisconsin sports teams and attended many | ||||||
3 | Wisconsin Badger and Green Bay Packer tailgates and football | ||||||
4 | games; he relished telling stories and jokes and used his quick | ||||||
5 | wit to the entertainment of all; and

6 | WHEREAS, Byron Biehn was preceded in death by his | ||||||
7 | mother-in-law, Shirl Daniels; and his brother-in-law, Doug | ||||||
8 | Daniels; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, Byron Biehn is survived by his wife of 31 years, | ||||||
10 | Dian; his children, Helena, Byron Carl "B.C.," and Mathias; his | ||||||
11 | parents; his siblings, Jerry Biehn, Donald (Sheila) Biehn, | ||||||
12 | Maureen (Dennis) Minogue, and Cynthia Biehn; his | ||||||
13 | father-in-law, Carl Daniels; his brothers and sisters-in-law, | ||||||
14 | Dave (Kim) Daniels, Deb (Jeff)Butler, Dawn (Steve) Novak, Dona | ||||||
15 | (Larry) Turner, Dirk (Sara) Daniels, and Dodi (Mike) David; his | ||||||
16 | many nieces, nephews, godchildren, and friends; therefore, be | ||||||

18 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL | ||||||
19 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
20 | Byron Howard Biehn and extend our sincere condolences to his | ||||||
21 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
