2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Dorothy J. Onderisin, who passed away on | ||||||
4 | May 18, 2019; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Dorothy Onderisin was born in Joliet to John and | ||||||
6 | Mary (Zoran) Brodeske on May 9, 1921; she graduated from Joliet | ||||||
7 | Township High School in 1939; and
| ||||||
8 | WHEREAS, Dorothy Onderisin was employed at U.S. Rubber; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, Dorothy Onderisin was a member of the Cantigny | ||||||
10 | Post 367 VFW Ladies Auxiliary and, for 26 years, the Will | ||||||
11 | County Farm Bureau; she was a precinct judge for Lockport | ||||||
12 | Township for 28 years and volunteered at the Rialto Square | ||||||
13 | Theatre for over 24 years; and

14 | WHEREAS, Dorothy Onderisin loved to play Bridge and was the | ||||||
15 | last surviving member of the Forest Hills Bridge/Canasta Club | ||||||
16 | that met monthly for 50 years; she was formidable at Hearts and | ||||||
17 | loved playing with her grandchildren; and

18 | WHEREAS, Dorothy Onderisin was preceded in death by her | ||||||
19 | husband, John Onderisin; her parents; and her brother, Richard | ||||||
20 | Brodeske; and

2 | Dale (Evelyn) Onderisin, Janet R. (William) Coombe, and Mark W. | ||||||
3 | Onderisin; her grandchildren, Amy (Chris) Coombe-Roberts and | ||||||
4 | Devon Coombe, Maureen (Tim) Cole, Mark R., and Paul and Heather | ||||||
5 | Onderisin; her great-grandchildren, Brian and Megan Cole and | ||||||
6 | Owen Coombe-Roberts; her brothers, James (Barbara) Brodeske; | ||||||
7 | her sister-in-law, Barb Brodeske; and her daughter-in-law, | ||||||
8 | Marcia Onderisin; therefore, be it

9 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL | ||||||
10 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
11 | Dorothy J. Onderisin and extend our sincere condolences to her | ||||||
12 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it | ||||||
13 | further
