SENATE RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
to learn of the death of Francis "Frank" Martinez, who passed
away on December 4, 2023; and
WHEREAS, Frank Martinez was a recent graduate of Elk Grove
High School, where he was on the track team and in the autos
program; he was enrolled in the automotive technology program
at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale; and
WHEREAS, Frank Martinez was a life-ranked boy scout,
played the french horn, and loved soccer; and
WHEREAS, Frank Martinez was successful academically and
had a wide circle of friends; he was an energetic, fun,
friendly soul whose passions included automobiles, climbing,
and enjoying the outdoors with friends; and
WHEREAS, Frank Martinez is survived by his parents, Juan
and Jennifer; his siblings, Max and Kate; two grandmothers;
and multiple aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends; therefore,
be it
RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
