2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of James H. "Jack" Johnson of Beach Park, | ||||||
4 | who passed away on July 14, 2017; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, James Johnson was born in McLeansboro to Thomas | ||||||
6 | and Stella (Russell) Johnson on July 19, 1926; and
| ||||||
7 | WHEREAS, James Johnson retired from Abbott Labs after 42 | ||||||
8 | years; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, James Johnson and his wife traveled extensively | ||||||
10 | worldwide with the Chuck Paxton's Senior Park District Travel | ||||||
11 | Club; he also enjoyed traveling domestically, following his | ||||||
12 | grandchildren's sporting events; he was a member of Meadowridge | ||||||
13 | Baptist Church in Zion; and
| ||||||
14 | WHEREAS, James Johnson was preceded in death by his | ||||||
15 | grandson, Brent Charles Johnson; his sisters, Hallie, Ruby, and | ||||||
16 | Chloe; and his parents; and
| ||||||
17 | WHEREAS, James Johnson is survived by his wife of over 70 | ||||||
18 | years, Charlotte Mae Johnson; his children, Dennis (Ann) | ||||||
19 | Johnson, Charles T. (Emily) Johnson, and Dianne (Eddie) Moore; | ||||||
20 | his grandchildren, Andrew (Sherra) Johnson, Benjamin |

7 | James H. "Jack" Johnson, and extend our sincere condolences to | ||||||
8 | his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
