2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Leo Ayala of McHenry, who passed away on | ||||||
4 | July 19, 2015; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Leo Ayala was born in Bayard, Nebraska on | ||||||
6 | September 15, 1938 to Severiano and Mary (nee Todd) Ayala; he | ||||||
7 | married Marilyn Chihak on April 16, 1970; he served as a | ||||||
8 | Corpsman in the United States Navy for 10 years, serving his | ||||||
9 | last year as a Battlefield Medic in Vietnam; and
| ||||||
10 | WHEREAS, After being honorable discharged, Leo Ayala | ||||||
11 | continued in the medic sales field; he started his own company, | ||||||
12 | Lab Rx Interiors in McHenry, 30 years ago; and
| ||||||
13 | WHEREAS, Leo Ayala enjoyed doing home improvement projects | ||||||
14 | around the house, camping, and grilling; he was also fond of | ||||||
15 | attending the theater and dining in fine restaurants with | ||||||
16 | family and good friends; he liked eating at greasy spoons and | ||||||
17 | local restaurants, with Bimbo's as his favorite; and
| ||||||
18 | WHEREAS, Leo Ayala was preceded in death by his parents, | ||||||
19 | and his brothers, Eleido, Richard, and Dennis; and
| ||||||
20 | WHEREAS, Leo Ayala is survived by his wife, Marilyn; the |

1 | children of his current marriage, Mark (Catherine) Ayala and | ||||||
2 | Melissa Ayala-Wolf; the children of his previous marriage, | ||||||
3 | Michael, Linda, Christopher, Deborah, Brian, and Anthony; his | ||||||
4 | grandchildren, Crystal, Kayla, Jace, Lexie, Logan, Marie, | ||||||
5 | Nicholas, Damon, and Brandon; other grandchildren; many | ||||||
6 | great-grandchildren; his siblings, Esther Lopez and Gilbert | ||||||
7 | Ayala; and many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
| ||||||
8 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | ||||||
9 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
10 | Leo Ayala, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, | ||||||
11 | friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further
| ||||||
12 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
13 | presented to the family of Leo Ayala as an expression of our | ||||||
14 | deepest sympathy.
