2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Vernon J.M. "Monty" Johnson, II of | ||||||
4 | Peoria, who passed away on January 30, 2014; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Vernon Johnson, II was born on September 19, 1975 | ||||||
6 | in Peoria to Vernon and Gaye (nee McCreary) Johnson; he | ||||||
7 | attended Manual and Notre Dame High Schools and married Ashley | ||||||
8 | Loving in 2012; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, Vernon Johnson, II worked as an over-the-road | ||||||
10 | truck driver, last working for O'Brien Steel; and
| ||||||
11 | WHEREAS, Vernon Johnson, II enjoyed playing football, | ||||||
12 | bowling, swimming, traveling, and watching movies; and
| ||||||
13 | WHEREAS, Vernon Johnson, II was preceded in death by his | ||||||
14 | maternal and paternal grandparents; and
| ||||||
15 | WHEREAS, Vernon Johnson, II is survived by his wife, | ||||||
16 | Ashley; his parents; his daughters, Jasmine Robinson, Briana | ||||||
17 | Johnson, Keamber Harden, and Taylor Loving; his sons, Cedric | ||||||
18 | Smith, Terry (Liz) Little, Jordan Robinson, Vernon Johnson III, | ||||||
19 | and Ian Loving; his granddaughter, Jordyn; his previous wife, | ||||||
20 | Stephanie Johnson; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and |

2 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL | ||||||
3 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
4 | Vernon J.M. "Monty" Johnson, II, and extend our sincere | ||||||
5 | condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved | ||||||
6 | him; and be it further
