2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Nancy Ann Bunger of Ashton, who passed | ||||||
4 | away on August 20, 2015; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Nancy Bunger was born in Sublette on November 21, | ||||||
6 | 1929 to Claude and Mary Francis (nee Wilson) Horton; she | ||||||
7 | graduated from Dixon High School in 1947 and from Northern | ||||||
8 | Illinois University with her teaching certificate; she married | ||||||
9 | Milford G. Bunger on September 27, 1952 in Galena; and
| ||||||
10 | WHEREAS, Nancy Bunger worked as an elementary school | ||||||
11 | teacher in Rock Falls at the Thome School; she also taught at | ||||||
12 | the Lincoln School in Dixon; and
| ||||||
13 | WHEREAS, Nancy Bunger was a member of the Lighthouse United | ||||||
14 | Methodist Church and United Methodist Women; she was also a | ||||||
15 | member of the P.E.O. Chapter IU of Oregon for 63 years and a | ||||||
16 | member of the Teacher's Association; she loved gardening, | ||||||
17 | flowers, bird-watching, and spending her summers at Bay Lake in | ||||||
18 | Minnesota; she was a former Girl Scout leader; and

19 | WHEREAS, Nancy Bunger was preceded in death by her parents, | ||||||
20 | and her daughter, Susan Lynn Andreas; and

1 | WHEREAS, Nancy Bunger is survived by her husband, Milford; | ||||||
2 | her children, Mike (Cindy) Bunger, Teresa Bunger, and Matt | ||||||
3 | Bunger; her son-in-law, Mike Andreas; her 4 grandchildren, | ||||||
4 | Bryan (Carrie) Andreas, Janna (Dan) Pettus, Brent (Jennifer) | ||||||
5 | Bunger, and Brandon Bunger; her 4 great-grandchildren, Amira, | ||||||
6 | Jax, Gia, and Kai; her sister, Julie (Chuck) Hage; and several | ||||||
7 | nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

8 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | ||||||
9 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
10 | Nancy Ann Bunger, and extend our sincere condolences to her | ||||||
11 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it | ||||||
12 | further

13 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
14 | presented to the family of Nancy Bunger as an expression of our | ||||||
