2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of James "Jim" Raymond Moore of Moline, who | ||||||
4 | passed away on June 20, 2020; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Jim Moore was born to Raymond and Sophia (Jensen) | ||||||
6 | Moore in DeWitt on August 13, 1933; he graduated from Grand | ||||||
7 | Mound High School in 1952; he served in the United States Army | ||||||
8 | stateside during the Korean War and greatly enjoyed the Honor | ||||||
9 | Flight to Washington DC several years ago; Jim married Karen | ||||||
10 | (Lewis) Fariss in Bettendorf on February 22, 2003; and
| ||||||
11 | WHEREAS, Upon being honorably discharged, Jim farmed and | ||||||
12 | was a Transportation Driver for Case/IH until retirement; after | ||||||
13 | his retirement from Case, he worked at the Rock Island Sale | ||||||
14 | Barn until age 82; and
| ||||||
15 | WHEREAS, Jim Moore was a farmer at heart who enjoyed all | ||||||
16 | aspects of the farm, especially cattle; he loved time spent | ||||||
17 | with his family and watching the Iowa Hawkeyes and the Chicago | ||||||
18 | Cubs; and
| ||||||
19 | WHEREAS, Jim Moore was preceded in death by his parents; | ||||||
20 | his infant son, Dirk Moore; his son-in-law, Tim Beranek; his | ||||||
21 | grandson, Louis Beranek; his brothers, Raymond Moore, Jr. and |
