2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Stephen "Steve" B. Reeter of Bloomington, | ||||||
4 | who passed away on September 3, 2020; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Steve Reeter was born to Bruce E. and Ellen M. | ||||||
6 | Killian Reeter in Bloomington on November 26, 1954; he | ||||||
7 | graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1972 and earned | ||||||
8 | a bachelor's degree from Western Illinois University; he | ||||||
9 | married Karen Lynn Bradley in Decatur on September 15, 1979; | ||||||
10 | and
| ||||||
11 | WHEREAS, Steve Reeter served as a police officer with the | ||||||
12 | Bloomington Police Department; and
| ||||||
13 | WHEREAS, Steve Reeter loved his family and was a man of | ||||||
14 | strong faith; he was known for his sense of humor, his love of | ||||||
15 | practical jokes, and his many collections ranging from fossils | ||||||
16 | to flashlights; and
| ||||||
17 | WHEREAS, Steve Reeter was preceded in death by his father; | ||||||
18 | and
| ||||||
19 | WHEREAS, Stephen Reeter is survived by his wife; his three | ||||||
20 | children, Katie Reeter, Kristie (Kyle) Kattelman, and Mick |

1 | Reeter; his granddaughter, Sandra Kattelman; his mother, Ellen | ||||||
2 | Reeter; his six siblings, Theresa Reeter, Dave (Amy) Reeter, | ||||||
3 | Rich (Katie) Reeter, Bernadette (Bob) Meiner, Paul (Lesley) | ||||||
4 | Reeter, and Maria Reeter; and his many nieces and nephews; | ||||||
