SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Charles Dismer Jr. of Rock Island, who
4passed away on September 14, 2020; and
5 WHEREAS, Charles Dismer Jr. was born in Davenport, Iowa on
6July 9, 1925; he served in the U.S. Army during WWII; he
7married Helen A. Albrecht on July 19, 1947; and
8 WHEREAS, Charles Dismer Jr. worked as a printer and later
9as an office manager at Modern Woodmen of America; he also
10worked part-time at Sears, Roebuck, and Co. and Borden's Dairy;
11and
12 WHEREAS, Charles Dismer Jr. was active in his church; he
13enjoyed spending time with his family, reading, fishing, and
14bowling; and
15 WHEREAS, Charles Dismer Jr. is survived by his wife, Helen
16Dismer; his children, Ruth Anne (Don) Feller, Gretchen (Bob)
17Fett, and Paul (Janine) Dismer; his grandchildren, Nathan
18Feller, Karl Feller, Christian Fett, Daniel "DJ" (Lisa) Fett,
19Amber Dismer, Matthew (Whitney) Dismer, and Elise Dismer; and
20his great-grandchildren, Maverick Fett, Gage Fett, Hannah
21Dismer, Maggie Dismer, and Catherine Dismer; therefore, be it

1 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
3Charles Dismer Jr. and extend our sincere condolences to his
4family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
5further
6 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
7presented to the family of Charles Dismer Jr. as an expression
8of our deepest sympathy.
