SENATE RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
learn of the death of Rudolph W. Becker of Crystal Lake, who
passed away on October 4, 2014; and
WHEREAS, Rudolph Becker was born on January 1, 1934 in
Elgin; his parents were Rudolf and Lottie (nee Marohn) Becker;
and
WHEREAS, Rudolph Becker was a proud veteran of the United
States Marine Corps during the Korean War; and
WHEREAS, Rudolph Becker worked for many years as a
production manager at the Chrysler plant in Belvidere until his
retirement; and
WHEREAS, Rudolph Becker enjoyed hiking, backpacking, and
camping, music, dancing, books, history, traveling,
researching music, old cars, and tractors, and spending time
with his dog, Wally; and
WHEREAS, Rudolph Becker was preceded in death by his
parents and 2 brothers, Max and William; and
WHEREAS, Rudolph Becker is survived by 2 siblings,

Charlotte Schumaker and Richard (Diana) Becker; 6 nieces and
nephews, Lisa (Math) Ubachs, John (Luisa) Becker, Bill (Dawn)
Schumaker, Lyddia (Jim) Hare, Lori (Tony) Laye, and Suzanne
(Mike) Dovey; and many great-nieces and great-nephews;
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
family and friends, mourn the passing of Rudolph W. Becker; and
be it further
RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
presented to the family of Rudolph Becker as an expression of
our sympathy.
