| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
| 3 | learn of the death of John M. O'Hearn of Elmwood Park, who | ||||||
| 4 | passed away on July 16, 2014; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, John O'Hearn was born on September 23, 1944 in | ||||||
| 6 | Rome, New York; he was raised in Oak Park and attended St. | ||||||
| 7 | Catherine Elementary School; he completed grade school at St. | ||||||
| 8 | Luke's in River Forest; he attended Fenwick High School and | ||||||
| 9 | graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 1966; he married | ||||||
| 10 | Mary Jo Parker; and
| ||||||
| 11 | WHEREAS, John O'Hearn was a successful businessman, | ||||||
| 12 | spending most of his professional career selling media | ||||||
| 13 | advertising for the Chicago Tribune, CBS, and the American Bar | ||||||
| 14 | Association; and
| ||||||
| 15 | WHEREAS, John O'Hearn coached little league baseball for | ||||||
| 16 | many years; and
| ||||||
| 17 | WHEREAS, John O'Hearn was preceded in death by his parents, | ||||||
| 18 | James J. M.D. and Mary Alice "Pidge" O'Hearn; and
| ||||||
| 19 | WHEREAS, John O'Hearn is survived by his beloved wife, Mary | ||||||
| 20 | Jo; his children, Mary "Bess" (Matt) Raulerson, Jennifer | ||||||

| 1 | Wagner, James (Rebecca), Anastasia "Staci" (Robert) Greenwald, | ||||||
| 2 | and Michael Jude (Maureen Boyle); his 14 grandchildren, Ben, | ||||||

| 4 | Will, Tom, Alice, Max, and Gavin; his great-granddaughter, | ||||||
| 5 | Natalie; his sisters, Mary Kathleen "Toy" (the late Joseph) | ||||||
| 6 | Lund, Suzanne (Chris) Walsh, Mary Alice (James) Sullivan, and | ||||||
| 7 | Molly (Leo) Cavin; and his many cousins, nieces and nephews; | ||||||

| 10 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
| 11 | John M. O'Hearn, and extend our sincere condolences to his | ||||||
| 12 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
