2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of John M. O'Hearn of Elmwood Park, who | ||||||
4 | passed away on July 16, 2014; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, John O'Hearn was born on September 23, 1944 in | ||||||
6 | Rome, New York; he was raised in Oak Park and attended St. | ||||||
7 | Catherine Elementary School; he completed grade school at St. | ||||||
8 | Luke's in River Forest; he attended Fenwick High School and | ||||||
9 | graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 1966; he married | ||||||
10 | Mary Jo Parker; and
| ||||||
11 | WHEREAS, John O'Hearn was a successful businessman, | ||||||
12 | spending most of his professional career selling media | ||||||
13 | advertising for the Chicago Tribune, CBS, and the American Bar | ||||||
14 | Association; and
| ||||||
15 | WHEREAS, John O'Hearn coached little league baseball for | ||||||
16 | many years; and
| ||||||
17 | WHEREAS, John O'Hearn was preceded in death by his parents, | ||||||
18 | James J. M.D. and Mary Alice "Pidge" O'Hearn; and
| ||||||
19 | WHEREAS, John O'Hearn is survived by his beloved wife, Mary | ||||||
20 | Jo; his children, Mary "Bess" (Matt) Raulerson, Jennifer |

10 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
11 | John M. O'Hearn, and extend our sincere condolences to his | ||||||
12 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
13 | further

14 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
