| ||||||
2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Julius "Jerry" Cullen of Waukegan, who | ||||||
4 | passed away on November 11, 2014; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Julius Cullen was born in Atlanta, Georgia on July | ||||||
6 | 13, 1943; he grew up in New York and later moved to Illinois; | ||||||
7 | he served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War; he | ||||||
8 | served 2 tours and earned a Bronze Star; he married Nancy Ann | ||||||
9 | Duley on June 6, 1987 in Waukegan; and
| ||||||
10 | WHEREAS, Julius Cullen enjoyed watching football with his | ||||||
11 | son, Michael, while eating the famous pound cake made by his | ||||||
12 | daughter, Ashley Megan; he was a "BBQ Master", a big Dallas | ||||||
13 | Cowboys fan, and most of all, a best friend to his precious | ||||||
14 | grandson, Nolan; and

15 | WHEREAS, Julius Cullen was preceded in death by his parents | ||||||
16 | and sisters; and
| ||||||
17 | WHEREAS, Julius Cullen is survived by his wife of over 27 | ||||||
18 | years, Nancy; his children; his son-in-law; his grandchildren; | ||||||
19 | his great-grandchildren; his in-laws; his aunt; his cousin; his | ||||||
20 | nephews; and many friends who loved and supported him; | ||||||
21 | therefore, be it

2 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
3 | Julius "Jerry" Cullen, and extend our sincere condolences to | ||||||
4 | his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
5 | further
| ||||||
6 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
7 | presented to the family of Julius Cullen as an expression of | ||||||
8 | our deepest sympathy.
