A HOUSE RESOLUTION honoring David Boudia.
Whereas, David Boudia's ultimate goal is to win an
Olympic gold medal in diving;
Whereas, A sixteen-time national champion, David has
been diving since 2000 and has trained under Olympic coach
John Wingfield;
Whereas, In addition to his national championships, David was named 2011 Big Ten Athlete of the Year for all sports; the USA Diving Athlete of the Year in 2008, 2010, and 2011; is a six-time NCAA champion (3 meter and platform in 2009, and 1 meter and 3 meter in 2010 and 2011); and was the NCAA Diver of the Year in 2009, 2010, and 2011;
Whereas, A senior and majoring in communications at Purdue University, David has been a member of the national diving team each year since 2005; and
Whereas, Through dedication and hard work David Boudia
has risen to a level of performance achieved by few athletes in
any field: Therefore,
SECTION 1. That the Indiana House of Representatives congratulates David Boudia on his many accomplishments and wishes him continued success in all his future endeavors.
SECTION 2. That the Principal Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit copies of this resolution to David Boudia and his family.
