    A HOUSE RESOLUTION to honor Representative Scott Reske on his retirement from the Indiana House of Representatives.
    
    Whereas, Representative Scott Reske has represented his constituents, the citizens of House District 37, at the Statehouse since 2001;

    Whereas, Representative Reske has lived in Madison County nearly his entire life, graduating from Pendleton Heights High School in 1978 before going on to study engineering at Purdue University, from which he received the degree of Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering in 1983;

    Whereas, While a student at Purdue, Representative Reske decided to serve his country as a member of the United States Marine Corps, attending Officer Candidate School while still at Purdue, and later graduating with honors from The Basic School in Quantico, Virginia;



    Whereas, After graduating from Purdue, Representative Reske received a commission as a second lieutenant in the Marines and served as a Marine aviator while stationed on the West Coast and while deployed abroad, including service in Haiti and in Iraq during the Second Iraq War, serving in the Marine Corps for twenty-eight years before retiring with the rank of colonel;

    Whereas, In addition to serving his country as a Marine and his state as a state legislator, Representative Reske has dedicated himself to his neighbors and his community through his 15-year service as a member of the Pendleton Volunteer Fire Department, and his current service as a reserve Deputy with the Madison County Sheriff's Department; and,

    Whereas, Outside the Statehouse, Representative Reske is a successful business owner, a loving husband and father of three: Therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives of the

General Assembly of the State of Indiana:

    SECTION 1. That the Indiana House of Representatives thanks Representative Scott Reske for his dedicated and honorable service to his constituency and to the state of Indiana, and wishes him happiness and contentment in his retirement.
    SECTION 2. That the Principal Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a copy of this resolution to Representative Scott Reske and his family.
