HOUSE BILL NO. 4124

A bill to amend 1972 PA 230, entitled

"Stille-DeRossett-Hale single state construction code act,"

(MCL 125.1501 to 125.1531) by adding section 4i.

the people of the state of michigan enact:

Sec. 4i. (1) Beginning on the effective date of the amendatory act that added this section, touchless fixtures must be installed in any newly constructed state building.

(2) As used in this section, "touchless fixtures" means fixtures that do not require manual operation by the user. Touchless fixtures include, but are not limited to, touch-free faucets, touch-free toilet handles, and hands-free door openers.
