HOUSE BILL No. 5237

January 26, 2016, Introduced by Reps. Somerville, Price and Kelly and referred to the Committee on Education.

 

     A bill to amend 1979 PA 94, entitled

 

"The state school aid act of 1979,"

 

(MCL 388.1601 to 388.1896) by adding section 164g.

 

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:

 

     Sec. 164g. If a district or intermediate district fails to

 

comply with an order of the employment relations commission to

 

deduct a fine from an employee's annual salary under section 2a(7)

 

of 1947 PA 336, MCL 423.202a, the district or intermediate district

 

forfeits an amount equal to 5% of the total state school aid due to

 

the district or intermediate district under this article.

 

     Enacting section 1. This amendatory act does not take effect

 

unless Senate Bill No. ____ or House Bill No. ____ (request no.

 

05050'16) of the 98th Legislature is enacted into law.
