A bill to designate the Karner blue butterfly as the official butterfly of the state of Michigan.

the people of the state of michigan enact:

Sec. 1. The Karner blue butterfly (Plebejus melissa samuelis) is designated as the official butterfly of this state.

Enacting section 1. This act takes effect 90 days after the date it is enacted into law.
