     A bill to amend 1939 PA 280, entitled

 

"The social welfare act,"

 

(MCL 400.1 to 400.119b) by adding section 10c.

 

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:

 

     Sec. 10c. The department shall have electronic access to

 

prisoner biography information maintained by the department of

 

corrections for the purpose of verifying that a prisoner

 

is not receiving public assistance or a Michigan bridge card while

 

incarcerated.
