HOUSE BILL NO. 6458

A bill to amend 1954 PA 116, entitled

"Michigan election law,"

(MCL 168.1 to 168.992) by adding section 33a.

the people of the state of michigan enact:

Sec. 33a. (1) The secretary of state shall provide information or training to all county, city, and township clerks that covers each of the following:

(a) Facilitating voting for and assisting individuals with disabilities.

(b) Operating an alternative accessible voting machine for individuals with disabilities.

(2) The secretary of state may comply with the requirements of subsection (1) by doing any of the following:

(a) Posting the required information on the department's website.

(b) Conducting training schools.

(c) Providing the required information by mail or electronic mail.
