HOUSE BILL No. 6495

     A bill to amend 1939 PA 280, entitled

 

"The social welfare act,"

 

(MCL 400.1 to 400.119b) by adding section 14k.

 

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:

 

     Sec. 14k. The department shall require recipients to pay for

 

replacement of the electronic benefits transfer card if their card

 

has been lost or stolen. The charge to replace the electronic

 

benefits transfer card shall be the actual replacement cost of the

 

card and administrative costs.
