HOUSE BILL No. 6527

     A bill to amend 1972 PA 239, entitled

 

"McCauley-Traxler-Law-Bowman-McNeely lottery act,"

 

(MCL 432.1 to 432.47) by adding section 11a.

 

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:

 

     Sec. 11a. Notwithstanding anything in this act to the

 

contrary, the commissioner shall develop a program that does all of

 

the following:

 

     (a) Allows each employer in this state to voluntarily

 

participate in the program developed under this section.

 

     (b) Allows each employee of an employer that has voluntarily

 

participated in the program under this section to voluntarily agree

 

to withhold a certain amount of the employee's compensation to be

 

used to conduct a lottery.

 

     (c) Establish the manner of the program under this section in

 


accordance with section 11(2)(a) to (f).

 

     Enacting section 1. This amendatory act takes effect 1 year

 

after the date it is enacted into law.
