ENROLLED SENATE BILL No. 736

AN ACT to amend 1937 PA 103, entitled “An act to prescribe certain conditions relative to the execution of instruments entitled to be recorded in the office of the register of deeds,” by amending section 3 (MCL 565.203), as amended by 2015 PA 131.

The People of the State of Michigan enact:

Sec. 3. (1) This act does not apply to any of the following instruments:

(a) A decree, order, judgment or writ of a court.

(b) A death certificate or a certified copy of a death certificate described in section 2886 of the public health code, 1978 PA 368, MCL 333.2886.

(2) Section 1(1)(a), (c), and (d) does not apply to an instrument on which the signature itself is printed, typewritten, stamped, or electronically affixed.

Enacting section 1. This amendatory act takes effect 90 days after the date it is enacted into law.

This act is ordered to take immediate effect.
