1.2relating to jobs; awarding grants for the summer youth employment program;
1.3appropriating money to the city of St. Paul.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. APPROPRIATION.
1.6$558,000 in fiscal year 2012 and $558,000 in fiscal year 2013 are appropriated from
1.7the workforce development fund to the commissioner of the Department of Employment
1.8and Economic Development for a grant to the city of St. Paul for grants to fund summer
1.9youth employment in St. Paul. The grants shall be used to fund up to 500 jobs for youth
1.10each summer. The commissioner shall establish criteria for awarding the grants within the
1.11city of St. Paul. This appropriation is added to the agency's budget base and is available in
1.12either year of the biennium and is available until spent.
