1.2relating to the military; appropriating money for a grant to support activities
1.3related to the commissioning of the USS Minnesota.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. APPROPRIATION.
1.6An amount up to $200,000 is appropriated in fiscal year 2014 from the general fund
1.7to the adjutant general of military affairs for a grant to the USS Minnesota Commissioning
1.8Committee to support activities related to the commissioning of the USS Minnesota. The
1.9grant shall be provided upon the condition that each state-appropriated dollar be matched
1.10with a private sector dollar. The USS Minnesota Commissioning Committee shall certify
1.11to the adjutant general by June 15, 2014, the amount of private sector funds raised to
1.12support the commissioning of the USS Minnesota. Acceptable matching funds are private
1.13sector contributions that the USS Minnesota Commissioning Committee has received and
1.14that have not been used to match any other state grant.
