1.1A bill for an act
1.2relating to education; requiring the State High School League to arrange a
1.3requesting school's football schedule;amending Minnesota Statutes 2012,
1.4section 128C.02, by adding a subdivision.
1.5BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

1.6    Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 2012, section 128C.02, is amended by adding a
1.7subdivision to read:
1.8    Subd. 10. Football scheduling. (a) The league shall adopt league rules and
1.9regulations:
1.10(1) defining a full football schedule; and
1.11(2) establishing a policy allowing a member school to request that the league arrange
1.12a full football schedule for the school consisting of games against schools located in
1.13Minnesota.
1.14(b) The league may adopt rules and regulations requiring contracts for football games
1.15between member schools to include a clause allowing the league to amend the contract.
1.16EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective the day following final enactment.
