1.1A bill for an act
1.2relating to capital investment; appropriating money for renovation of the Phillips
1.3Community Center swimming pool in Minneapolis; authorizing the sale and
1.4issuance of state bonds.
1.5BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

1.6    Section 1. PHILLIPS COMMUNITY CENTER POOL RENOVATION.
1.7    Subdivision 1. Appropriation. $2,100,000 is appropriated from the bond proceeds
1.8fund to the Metropolitan Council for a grant to the Minneapolis Park and Recreation
1.9Board to predesign, design, engineer, reconstruct, renovate, furnish, and equip the Phillips
1.10Community Center indoor competitive swimming pool and to predesign, design, engineer,
1.11and construct an additional indoor multipurpose family pool and facilities associated with
1.12an aquatic center in the community center, subject to Minnesota Statutes, section 16A.695.
1.13    Subd. 2. Bond sale. To provide the money appropriated in this section from the
1.14bond proceeds fund, the commissioner of management and budget shall sell and issue
1.15bonds of the state in an amount up to $2,100,000 in the manner, upon the terms, and with
1.16the effect prescribed by Minnesota Statutes, sections 16A.631 to 16A.675, and by the
1.17Minnesota Constitution, article XI, sections 4 to 7.
1.18EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective the day following final enactment.
