AN ACT

To amend chapter 307, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to vehicle safety inspections.




Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri, as follows:


            Section A. Chapter 307, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be known as section 307.377, to read as follows:

            307.377. Notwithstanding any other provision of law to the contrary, no state, county, city, municipal, or other law enforcement officer or agency, or department of transportation employee or agent, shall conduct a random checkpoint on any road or highway in this state for the sole purpose of conducting a vehicle safety inspection on any motorcycle or motor vehicle other than a commercial motor vehicle or school bus.
