AN ACT

To amend chapter 71, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to municipal employment contracts.




Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri, as follows:


            Section A. Chapter 71, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be known as section 71.950, to read as follows:

            71.950. 1. No municipal employment contract shall exceed a two-year period, but such contract may be renewed so long as each renewal does not exceed such period.

            2. Upon resignation or termination of a municipal employment contract, no employee covered under such contract shall receive a payout of more than six months' pay.
