AN ACT

To amend chapter 9, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to the designation of thank a farmer day.




Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri, as follows:


            Section A. Chapter 9, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be known as section 9.170, to read as follows:

            9.170. November twenty-first of each year shall be designated as “Thank a Farmer Day” in Missouri. The citizens of this state are encouraged to observe the day with activities designed to educate and enhance appreciation of the contributions to our nation’s food supply, our state’s economy, and the agricultural industry made by Missouri farmers.
